DEGREES IN HYPNOSIS
The Open International University for Complimentary Medicines offers Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, Doctor of Science and PhD Degree courses in Clinical Hypnotherapy. All these courses are run under the personal guidance of Prof. Dr. Lyn Bateman, an accedited Professor of the Syllabus of Clinical Hypnosis based in the UK. Dr. Bateman has spent a lifetime in the research of Clinical and Medical Hypnosis and has run a very busy private practice for nearly thirty years, and it can be categorically stated that his expertise in this field is second to none!
There are many Colleges and Universities offering so called accredited Degrees, however, most are in a word fraudulent! In order for a College or University to offer accredited Degrees they must be recognised by the government of the country in which they operate. In the year 2000 the government of Sri Lanka issued a postage stamp in order to commemerate 38 years of the OIUCM as an active University. Therefore on this premise the Degrees awarded by the OIUCM are acceptable in the UK, USA. Canada, Australia and the world over, hence there being many individuals in many countries holding prominent positions in academia with OIUCM Degrees! Not many establishments on the internet can offer this!
The prerequisite qualification
The prerequisite qualification for the Bachelor of Science Degree is an accredited practitioners Diploma in Hypnotherapy. This acceditation must be with a reputable association in the country where the prospective student resides. For entry on to the Master of Science or Doctorate programmes a Bachelor of Science in Clinical Hypnotherapy from a reputable College or University is required. As you can see these Degrees are earned and not simply purchased as with Degree and Diploma Mills. Degrees awarded by the OIUCM are awarded to the student for writing an original thesis in the science of hypnotherapy.
